Lanre Ajakaiye Lanre Ajakaiye Inductee: Lanre is a 1991 graduate of Classical High School. Lanre earned All State honors in Track & Field for hurdles. His hurdles records in 110 & 300-meter hurdles endured for over 20+ years and Lanre is a Classical record holder. Additionally, he was voted Homecoming King by his class. He competed under the coaching leadership of Robert Palazzo. Lanre would go on to run track at the University of Rhode Island where he earned Dean’s list and also won numerous accolades across student leadership ending with a coveted, Washington Center Fellowship in Washington, D.C. He would follow this with an MBA from Boston University. Today, Lanre is the Head of Membership for NFPA Global where he has responsibility for scaling operations across Latin America, Middle East, and Africa & North America. Lanre enjoys volunteering and being active in the community including recently being selected and serving as co-chair for Leadership Rhode Island and Class President for the NUII 2017 class. He is also the Founder and Director of Team Providence Travel () which has teams across 5th to 8th grade with requirements of Financial Literacy & Career Awareness as part of participation.
