Classical Alumni Marthaline Cooper Divsion I NCAA All American finishes 6th
Cooper Sixth in Women's Weight Throw
Winthrop junior and Classical product Marthaline Cooper finished sixth in the women's weight throw with a toss of 69-08.25. Cooper unleashed the 69-08.25 on her first throw and held second place after the first round. She fouled on her next two throws and went into the nine-person final in sixth place. She had throws of 68-3, 67-7, and 69-02.75 in the finals but was unable to improve on her opening toss.
