Classical Girls Cross Country Team 2020

Classical Girls win 3 Meets on Saturday, October24, 2020 at Roger Williams Park clinching a tie for second place in the Suburban Division . The team has qualified to the R.I. State Championships in November!

13 Girls achieved PR’s which allowed our Team to win all three dual meets! We tied for second place in our division with a 7-2 record with Cranston East and Coventry. This is Classical highest finish in our Suburban Division since Cross Country started at Classical in 1992.

Caroline won her third dual meet with a time of 19:07! She finishes the Dual Meet season losing only to the top two East Greenwich athletes Reese Fahys and Rylee Shunney. Grace Doyle finished second to Caroline in two meets and was beaten by only 10 other athletes in our division. She will achieve All Division honors as a Freshman! Qwin Cute and Ruby Groves are All Division with 15 other athletes beating them in our division! This is another first!. We have not had four athletes make All Division in one cross country season.

Our other top seven finishers all setting PR’S were: Grace Doyle, Qwin Cute, Ruby Groves, Sofia Gertrudes, Elena Hurtado, and Anne Marie Nagle. Our sixth and seventh runner held places which helped with the win against Cranston East.

Congratulations to All !
